Dental Week – National Children’s Dental Health Month

Dental week at Little Rascals Daycare.

This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated dental professionals, health care providers and others to promote the benefits of good oral health to children and adults, caregivers, teachers and many others.

Attitudes and habits established at an early age are critical in maintaining good oral health throughout life.

By participating in the annual celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month, members of the dental team, parents, teachers and others can help keep children’s smiles beautiful now and for years to come.

The kids at Little Rascals Daycare are learning how to properly take care of their teeth this week. During dental week the children all get help brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash so they learn how important it is and the best way to do it.

It is very important that children learn early on how to properly take care of their teeth and gums. This is something that once taught, then they won’t forget and less likely to neglect.

Dental week is fun for the children, but also rewarding as well. All of the children get their own toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and stickers to take home. There is also information for their parents as well.

You can get more information and a downloadable PDF here.

Set the tone for the entire day for your child…

What your child eats for breakfast can set the tone for the entire day—and
even for a lifetime of healthy habits.

Research shows that choices and attitudes toward this one simple morning ritual can impact energy level, behavior, academic performance and future food choices.

Healthy eating is just as important as getting the proper sleep.

Below you will be able to download a free PDF of healthy and nutritional breakfast ideas.

Higginsville Pumpkin Farm Fun Day

The Little Rascals Daycare and Preschool went to Higginsville Pumpkin Farm for a fun day. The kids had a blast, and I think the parents had fun too. 🙂

There was apple dunking, hay tunnels, hayrides, and other cool things for the kids to do.

Trenton Police Department – Police Day at Little Rascals Daycare and PreSchool

Our local Trenton Police Department (TPD)…was so kind as to send one of their officers to our daycare and preschool to share some cool things with our kids, and then to take them out to his police car so they could learn more about it, as well as have some fun inside the car.

Below you will see just a few of the pictures we took so that we could share them with you.
